Cabinet plans

Funny, but for someone who uses computers nearly all day long, there are still some things I find it easier and faster to do by hand.  Drawing plans, for example.  I have some simple drawing software on my iMac and PowerBook, but it would take me more time to learn them than it would to draw plans by hand.  So… I sat down after dinner a few nights last week and drew up plans for the Ceriatone DC30 as a head with a separate 212 cabinet.  Both are relatively straight-forward; they are, after all, just boxes.  I spent some extra time on the 212 speaker cabinet, making it the same size as the oversized Bogner 212 and Avatar Vintage 212 cabinets since both of these are highly regarded.  I also tilted the front baffle back slightly like the Bogner, Avatar and original Marshall Bluesbreaker extension cabinet, to project sound up a bit.

These are the same plans I took with me to the cabinetmaker and I’m actually kind of pleased with how they turned out.  I’m posting them here for others who might be interested in building their own cabinets.
