The 2007 New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show

It was too nice to stay home today, so we packed the family up and went into New York City to see the 2007 Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens. Nothing much grows outside in early March in New York. Inside the conservatories, however, the orchids were in full bloom. Amazing to see how diverse orchids can be, and the profusion of color was astounding. My wife and I were both enamored with the flowers, though the kids much preferred climbing around the stone maze in the Children’s Gardens. It was a lovely day, so why not enjoy? And they fell asleep on the way home!
