Yamaha Weddington Watch, Nov. 2008
Weddington prices appear to have taken a noticeable hit since last month
Three Yamaha Weddingtons were on the eBay auction block this month and judging by the winning bids, prices on Weddingtons has taken a turn for the worse since last month.
First up, this tangerine Roseburst Weddington Custom sold for $1034.99. The seller indicated that there were some nicks and scratches on the guitar, including on the face.
Next, this cool-looking tangerine Cherry Sunburst Classic, also with a few chips and scratches, sold for a best offer of $750. Sheesh… that’s just dirt cheap.
Even more painfull to see, this black Classic went for $721. That’s just sad, especially since a similar one sold for $827 last month. If I hadn’t just bought a PRS Cu22 Soapie, this one might have been on it’s way to me. Yeah, I know, I keep saying that.

Hey Nick,
Right you are! The Custom is “Roseburst” and Classic is “Cherry Sunburst” according to the catalog that I have.
Other colors for the Custom included Faded Burst (almost amber) and Cherry. Classic colors included Metallic Black, Cherry Sunburst and Metallic Red w/ natural back. The Special was available in solid black, cream white and opaque cherry.
Thanks for the clarification.
I believe that “tangerine burst” as you call it is what Yamaha calls “rose burst” in their catalog of this era. Rock on,Nick
